Edgewood Country Club is seeking friendly, dependable, and service‑oriented Banquet Staff to support weddings, private celebrations, golf outings, corporate events, and club functions. This role is essential to creating a welcoming, high‑quality experience for our members and guests.

The ideal candidate is professional, upbeat, detail‑oriented, and thrives in a fast‑paced hospitality environment. Prior experience is helpful, but a strong work ethic and positive attitude are just as important.

Position Summary

Banquet Staff assist with event setup, food and beverage service, guest hospitality, and event breakdown. Team members work collaboratively with the Event Coordinator, Banquet Captain, culinary team, and fellow service staff to ensure each event runs smoothly and reflects the high standards of Edgewood Country Club.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up event spaces according to event orders, including tables, chairs, linens, place settings, buffet and beverage stations, and décor
  • Provide courteous, attentive, and professional service to members and guests throughout events
  • Serve plated meals, buffet items, hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and desserts as assigned
  • Assist with beverage service, including water, coffee, and tea
  • Clear plates, glassware, silverware, and linens efficiently and professionally
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and polished appearance in all event areas
  • Assist with event breakdown, including room resets and returning equipment to designated storage areas
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with supervisors, kitchen staff, and team members
  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and service standards
  • Support additional event‑related tasks as needed to ensure an exceptional guest experience

Qualifications

  • Previous banquet, restaurant, catering, or hospitality experience preferred, but not required
  • Strong reliability, punctuality, and professionalism
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull items such as trays, tables, chairs, linens, and event supplies
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to maintain a neat, polished, and professional appearance

Schedule & Employment Type

This is a part‑time, event‑based position. Hours vary based on the club’s event schedule and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays.
