Chief Financial Officer - Banking

Our client, Mountain Valley Bank, N.A. is looking for a highly motivated, conscientious, and driven professional to serve as the bank’s Chief Financial Officer.  The primary responsibility for this position includes establishing, coordinating and administering the bank’s accounting system, which accurately reflects the financial position of the bank and its parent company, Mountain-Valley Bancshares, Inc.  The individual selected for this position will also be responsible for the company’s financial and regulatory reporting requirements, budgetary planning and financial forecasting, as well as serving as stock transfer officer of the bank’s holding company.

Qualified candidates should possess:

·      3- 5 years (minimum) of experience in accounting and/or finance preferably in the banking industry.

·      Strong knowledge of GAAP and proficient in posting journal entries to the GL.

·      Experience preparing monthly financial reports.

·      Experience preparing quarterly call reports.

·      Strong technical, analytical, attention to detail, communication and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task and think strategically. 

·      A CPA certification or equivalent (preferred).
