Schedule & Compensation

  • Generally, 40 hours/week, Monday–Friday, with occasional evening events
  • Comprehensive benefit package including but not limited to medical, paid time off, paid holidays, and retirement.

Position Summary 

 The Development Associate supports donor engagement across the full lifecycle from outreach and cultivation to stewardship and legacy giving. This role reports to and works closely with the Director of Philanthropic Services to grow CFOV’s philanthropic assets and deepen relationships with fundholders, prospects, and professional advisors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage donor segmentation, outreach, and engagement strategies
  • Coordinate donor-focused events and appeals
  • Maintain Legacy Society and fundholder portfolios
  • Identify and track external grant opportunities
  • Collaborate on proposals, fund agreements, and donor recognition programs
  • Maintain donor records in C-Suite and support agency endowment efforts
  • Partner with Communications on donor messaging and event planning 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or related field preferred
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in donor relations, fundraising, or nonprofit development
  • Strong writing, public speaking, and project coordination skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canva, email marketing tools, and donor CRM platforms (C-Suite preferred)

  • Professional office setting with occasional travel for events and meetings
  • Light physical activity; must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
