The Bank of Monroe (WV) has an immediate opening for a Human Resources (HR) Specialist.  The ideal candidate is an enterprising, conventional human resources professional who enjoys communicating with and teaching people and helping or providing service to others.

Job Summary: Under minimal supervision, the HR Specialist performs a variety of activities in multiple human resources areas including but not limited to recruiting, screening, interviewing, and placing individuals within the organization, planning, directing, and coordinating human resources and training and development activities of the bank, as well as compiling and maintaining personnel and other employment records and reports. While this position has no direct supervisory responsibilities, the HR Specialist will assist other managers and supervisors with the performance development of bank employees.

Physical Demands: The employee generally sits, occasionally stands, walks, stoops, kneels; rarely climbs or balances, crouches, or crawls. The employee frequently uses hands to finger, handle, or feel; frequently reaches with hands and arms; and frequently talks and hears, occasionally tastes and smells.  The physical activity level for this position is considered “sedentary physical activity performing non-strenuous daily activities of an administrative nature.”

Lifts Weight or Exerts Force Work Environment: The employee occasionally lifts up to 25 pounds; and regularly lifts up to 10 pounds.

Visions: Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision; Distance vision; Peripheral vision; Depth perception; Ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment: The employee works in a well-lighted, heated and/or air-conditioned indoor office setting with adequate ventilation. 


Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A / B.S.) in a related field from a four-year college or university; or four (4) to six (6) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

License, Certificate, or Registration

A Professional Human Resources Designation / Certification preferred
