About the Role: As the President, you will serve as the chief executive officer of the Chamber, guiding strategic initiatives, advocating for our business community, building membership, overseeing events and programs, and representing the Wheeling area as a thriving hub for commerce and opportunity. This is a highly visible role that requires strong leadership, community engagement, and financial stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the Chamber’s strategic direction and daily operations.
• Grow and retain membership while delivering value-driven programs.
• Advocate for business-friendly policies and economic growth.
• Build partnerships with local, state, and federal stakeholders.
• Oversee budgets, staff, events, and communications.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree (Master’s is a plus) in business, marketing, or related field.
• 7+ years of leadership experience, ideally in a Chamber, nonprofit, or economic development setting.
• Proven track record in fundraising, membership development, and community relations.
• Strong public speaking, communication, and organizational skills.

Compensation and Benefits:

Compensation will be commensurate with experience level and within budgetary limits.  The Chamber offers a retirement plan option, paid time off, flexible work schedule, and a few other benefits.
